The Grape Juice Plus Wine Tasting Group celebrated the first day of summer with a visit to the Sierra Foothills appellation to go tasting at some wineries around the town of Fair Play. This outing into gold country took place on Saturday, June 21, 2003 and did not require the use of a mountain bike. Some of the wineries that made the itenerary included Granite Springs Winery, Perry Creek Vineyards, Single Leaf Winery & Vineyard, Van der Vijver Estate, and Fitzpatrick WineryFor more information on the area visit the El Dorado Winery Association.

- Dan H. - Wine = yummy ...that's my review.
- Chad N. - All the wineries we went to had some good stuff, but my favorite was Fitzpatrick. Any winery that sells Guinness merchandise has to be good. I would really like to go and stay at the bed & breakfast some time. They had a beautiful view of the valley from the patio, too.
